Bdin

The furthest Bdin Vidin have gone in a national cup is the semi-final of the Soviet Army Cup in 1946, when the side from Vidin still played as Benkovski. The club did keep reaching the late rounds, though. It had been in the quarter-finals of the King's Cup in 1940 and again in 1941, and it reached the quarter-finals of the Soviet Army Cup in 1948/49.

That 1948/49 season mattered more for what happened in the league. Renamed Benkovski-Sportist, the team finished ninth in the top division, the First Professional League, and played a cup quarter-final in the same winter. Its next quarter-final in that cup came in 1982/83, a gap of more than three decades.

The club was founded in 1923 and dissolved in 1999. A new club took the name Bdin 1923 in 2012, so the present side carries the original date and the old nickname, Bdintsi, but not an unbroken line back to the semi-finalists of 1946. Its ground, Georgi Benkovski Stadium, holds 15,000 and bears the surname the club itself wore in that cup run.
