The Kyrgyz Football Union voted the club into the Premier League at a meeting on 20 December 2024. Mavi Lopes, a Brazilian, took charge on 9 January 2025 and was gone by the end of May, replaced by Giovanni Costantino. The recruiting reached well past Kyrgyzstan: Albanians, Russians, Ukrainians, Germans. Anton Zemlyanukhin signed at the start of that first season.

The league table read the way a first season usually does — 13th of 14, 19 points, five wins against seventeen defeats. The cup went differently. Bishkek City reached the semi-final of the 2025 Kyrgyz Cup, which for a side that had existed for six months meant beating teams with decades on them.

The second season has not moved much. Twenty rounds into 2026 the club sits 13th of 16 with 20 points, in a division that has grown by two clubs since it joined. The improvement, such as it is, is a single point over a longer stretch of fixtures.

What the club has instead of a past is an address: the football centre run by the union, where the training is done. That is where it began — a decision taken in a meeting room in December, a licence granted, and a squad signed in January for a league that started in the spring.
