Ebbs

SK Ebbs had never played in Regionalliga Tirol until 2023, when a second-place finish in Landesliga Ost sent the club into a promotion play-off against SV Hall. Ebbs held their nerve to win it and went up. Two Landesliga Ost titles, in 2005 and 2016, came before that, along with a Gebietsliga Ost championship in 1985 and a Landesliga Ost crown in 1986 that carried the club into the Tiroler Liga. In the Tiroler Pokal final of 1989/90, Ebbs lost to FC Kufstein Amateure on penalties.

The club was formed in Ebbs, a town in the Kufstein district of Tyrol, on 25 September 1961, by Norbert Werndl senior and Herbert Bauhofer. A skiing section ran alongside the football side in its early years, until it split off in December 1979 to form WSV Ebbs. Matches are played at the Glonner Arena, which holds 1,000, and the team wears green and white.

Games against SC Kundl are known locally as the Unterland-Derby, or the Schlagerspiel, and matches with SV Wörgl are simply the Derby — both opponents share the Kufstein district with Ebbs.

Daniel Wurnig came up through the club's own youth ranks and leads the first team now. Felix Ploner did the same before moving on to WSG Tirol, having also been capped for Austria's youth sides. But the name most closely tied to Ebbs belongs to someone who never played for the club: Marco Friedl, now at Werder Bremen and Austria's senior side, has a youth tournament run in his honour there, the Marco Friedl Cup.
