Eintracht Münchberg

In 1968, FC Münchberg — one of the two clubs that would later merge into today's side — won the Landesliga Nord and reached the Bayernliga, then the top tier of Bavarian football. The stay lasted a single season before relegation sent the club straight back down.

That predecessor dated to 22 August 1910. On 1 January 2000, FC Münchberg merged with SC Eintracht Münchberg to form FC Eintracht Münchberg, and the new club kept 1910 as its founding year.

Between 2008 and 2012, promotion from the Kreisliga arrived several times and left just as fast, with the side dropping straight back down each season. The run broke in 2012, when Münchberg won the Kreisliga 1 Hof outright. The Bezirksliga Oberfranken Ost title followed in 2021, and in 2024 the club took the Landesliga Nordost and went up to the Bayernliga Nord.

Home games are played at the Fortuna-Arena, which holds 3,500, in blue, white and green. There is no fixed rival: matches against FC Coburg are friendlies rather than a derby, and FSV Stadeln met the club in a promotion play-off in 2025.

Anna Bornhoff played for the club between 2002 and 2005, Sarah Hornschuch started out there, and Maximilian Krauß came through the youth academy between 2001 and 2011.

56 years separate that one season in the Bayernliga from the club's return to it.
