FFV Erfurt

In 2005, the women of Erfurt beat FF USV Jena in the Thuringian indoor cup.

What followed spread out over a decade. Between 2010 and 2013, Erfurt won the Thüringer Pokal four seasons in a row, and the same competition carried them into the first round of the DFB-Pokal almost every year from 2009 onwards. The Thuringian cup has gone to Erfurt nine times in all, the first of them in 1993/94, before the club existed in its present form.

That is the oddity in the record. The 1994 cup belongs to the women's section as it stood then; the club itself was founded on 25 June 1997, under the name 1. FFV/Grün-Weiß Erfurt, and inherited the history rather than starting from nothing.

Home is the Sports Forum Johannesplatz, which holds 1,000. The side has moved between the Regionalliga Nordost and the Verbandsliga Thüringen more than once. Red and black are the colours.

The badge was redrawn in 2017, the year the club turned 20 — a season in which Erfurt took the regional cup, the indoor title and the Thuringian championship together, and reached the first round of the national cup once more.
