Fiorenzuola

The name carries its own date. Unione Sportiva Fiorenzuola 1922 has never dropped the year from its title, a habit common to the local sporting societies that turned themselves into football clubs across Emilia-Romagna's provincial towns in the years after the First World War. Fiorenzuola d'Arda, a market town in the province of Piacenza, got its own club that year, and has played in red and black ever since, known locally as the Rossoneri.

Home matches are played at the Stadio Comunale, also known as the Velodromo Attilio Pavesi, rebuilt in 1996 to hold 4,000.

Fiorenzuola's honours belong mostly to the amateur game. The club won the Coppa Italia Dilettanti in 1985-86, beating Stezzanese 1-0 in a final played at San Siro, and had gone up through the play-offs of the Lombardy Promozione in 1982-83. The 1989-90 Campionato Interregionale title, the competition that then preceded Serie D, was won under the sponsor's name Finlocat Fiorenzuola and opened the door to Serie C.

Fiorenzuola stayed there without a break for twelve seasons, from 1990 to 2002, and went as far as the round of 32 in the Coppa Italia once, against Roma, in 1994-95.
