Flaminia

Flaminia in its present form was assembled from parts. In June 2008 A.S.D. Bassano Romano and A.S. Sassacci merged into a single legal entity in Civita Castellana, in the province of Viterbo. The new club counts U.S. Veliti del Littorio, founded in 1931, and A.S. Civita Castellana among its predecessors.

A.S. Civita Castellana won Serie C in 1946-47. Nearly half a century later, in 1991-92, U.S. Pool Industrie Civita Castellana took the Eccellenza Lazio title. Since the merger the club has spent its time in Serie D.

The local fixture that matters is the Derby della Tuscia against Monterosi FC. The Rossoblù, red and blue, are also called the Civitonici, after the people of the town.

The most telling career is that of Alessandro Tuia. He came through the youth sector and went on to play for Lazio, Monza, Salernitana, Benevento, Lecce and Cremonese. In December 2025 he came back to Flaminia, at a club whose home, the Stadio Turiddu Madami, holds 1,300 people.
