Freiburg-Zähringen

The women's team plays at the Sportanlage im Hinterkirch , on the second pitch, where the stand holds 1,000. For the cup ties that outgrow it the club has looked across the city to the Dreisamstadion , home of SC Freiburg and built for 24,000.

Two clubs made the one that plays there. TSV Zähringen dated from September 1900, Freiburger FC Alemannia from May 1910, and on 15 July 1967 they merged into a multi-sport club that has kept blue and black ever since.

They beat Hegauer FV 1:0 to take the South Baden Verbandspokal, and that win carried them into the DFB-Pokal der Frauen for the first time. TSV Jahn Calden ended it 0:2 in the following season's first round.

They repeated the cup in 2025/26, beating SV Gottenheim 3:1, and took the South Baden championship in the same season, having first won it in 2019.

Among the players who came through the youth side is Luca Tausch , who trained at Zähringen before moving into SC Freiburg's academy.

The rivalries are local and split by sport. In football the women have met ESV Freiburg in city derbies.
