Hörbranz

The Sandriesel ground sits on natural grass and holds a thousand people, which tells its own story.

FC Hörbranz was founded on 1 July 1947 and marked its 75th year in 2022. In 1980/81 that meant the Eliteliga Vorarlberg; more recently, going into 2026/27, it means the Vorarlbergliga, a step below.

Sponsorship has left its mark on the name more than the trophy cabinet has: over the years the club has played as RUPP FOOD Austria FC Hörbranz and as ECO-Park FC Hörbranz. Colours and a nickname, if the club has settled on either, have not surfaced anywhere on the record.

What remains constant is Sandriesel itself, its grass pitch and its thousand seats, tucked into a small Vorarlberg municipality where the football club has simply outlasted its trophies.
