Lebrijana

Lebrija is a town with two football clubs. In 1988 Unión Balompédica Lebrijana merged with its local rival Club Atlético Antoniano to form Club Deportivo Lebrija, a side that played in the Tercera División. They pressed for the return of the old identities, and the merger was dissolved in 1994. Lebrijana came back under its own name, with activity resuming fully in the 1993/94 season.

The club itself dates to 1928. The town calls the team "La Balona".

Lebrijana won the Primera Regional de Sevilla in 1958–59 and the Segunda Regional de Sevilla in 1972–73. Its latest title came in 2011–12, when it won Group 2 (Sevilla) of the Primera Andaluza. The Copa del Rey has been a rarer outing, and the club took part in 1977–78.

Goalkeeper Alfonso Liceras moved to UD Las Palmas Atlético, and forward José Giráldez and goalkeeper Iván Ares are also part of the club's story. The home ground, the Estadio Municipal de Lebrija, holds 3,500.

The present is tied to the Copa del Rey again.
