The Thomas-Morgenstern-Arena seats 1,500 and carries the name of a ski jumper, an Olympic and World Champion, rather than a sponsor or a founder. Martin Morgenstern began at SV Lendorf in 1998 and helped win the Kärntner Landesliga in 2000, which took the side up to the third tier for the first time. He then went to FC Kärnten and the Austrian Bundesliga. He returned to Lendorf in 2006 and stayed, and he is the club's record goalscorer. His brother Christoph, also a player here, has been head coach since 2019.
That promotion in 2000 lasted a single season in the Regionalliga. The way back took 18 years. In 2017/18 Lendorf won the Landesliga again, one point ahead of VST Völkermarkt.
Lendorf began as the football section of SV Lendorf in 1981 and became an independent club, FC Lendorf, in 2010. A third came in 2015, when SAK Klagenfurt were beaten 5:4 on penalties after a 1:1 draw. Then came a long stretch of finals that ended in defeat: seven runner-up finishes between 2016/17 and 2023/24.
Further afield, Lendorf reached the Austrian Cup proper twice in the 1990s. In 1995/96 they beat Wolfsberger AC before losing to Grazer AK in extra time. In 1997/98 they knocked out SV Braunau and went out to SK Vorwärts Steyr.
The nearest rival is SV Spittal/Drau, and the "Oberkärntner Derby" is played between two clubs of the same district. Lendorf had won the last four meetings when Spittal broke that run in 2024.
