Levante II

Vicente Iborra spent a single season in Buñol before anyone outside Valencia had heard of him, seventeen appearances and four goals in 2007/08 that read now like a footnote to a career that carried him through Sevilla, Leicester City and Villarreal. José Enrique passed through a few years earlier, on his way to Villarreal, Newcastle United and Liverpool. Neither stayed long. That has always been the point of Atlético Levante UD, the reserve side of Levante UD, whose job is to be left behind.

The club traces back to 10 November 1962, when Club Deportivo Portuarios and Unión Deportiva Malvarrosa merged into Atlético Levante. The name has shifted with the parent club's own changes: Levante UD Aficionados from 1976, Levante UD B once the first team became a sociedad anónima deportiva in 1994, and a return to the original Atlético Levante UD in 2014.

Home games are played at the Ciutat Esportiva de Buñol, a training complex in the town of Buñol rather than in Valencia itself, opened in June 2003 and holding 1,000 spectators. The kit follows the parent club's blue and garnet.

The nearest the team has come to senior football was the 2005/06 season, when it finished second in Group III of Segunda División B, and a third-place finish in 2001/02 that also brought a promotion play-off. The clearer success arrived in 2017/18, winning Group VI of Tercera División outright. None of those campaigns produced promotion. In 2025/26 the side plays in Tercera Federación, the fifth tier, still short of the step up that its two best-known graduates only found after they had already left.
