Pinatar

In 2005/06, Pinatar Club de Fútbol went the whole Tercera División season in Group 13 without losing at home, the only side in the group to do so. That took them to third place and into the promotion play-offs for Segunda División B, where Valencia B beat them. It was the best league finish the club from San Pedro del Pinatar ever managed. Two regional cup wins, in 2003/04 and 2007/08, came either side of it. The second was a 3-1 defeat of Ciudad de Lorquí in the final, and it took the side into the national phase of the Copa RFEF, where Linares stopped them.

In 2013, money ran out and Pinatar CF was dissolved after decades of existence.

The gap was closed by Atlético Pinatarense, formed in 2017 by young players from the local Escuela de Fútbol Base Pinatar. It is a new entity, not a continuation of the old one, and it took the old name's blue and white, with yellow and black for away games. Its supporters call the players Los Pinatarenses. The side has worked its way up through the regional leagues of the Region of Murcia and now plays in the Preferente Autonómica.

The current side has a trophy of its own. In 2026 it won the Supercopa Regional de la Región de Murcia, beating CF Ciudad de Calasparra 3-1 in the final. The prize was a place in the preliminary rounds of the 2026–27 Copa del Rey, with a tie against Atlético Melilla set for September and October 2026. For a club in the sixth tier, it is a rare draw against opponents from outside the region.
