Pogoń Nowe Skalmierzyce

Pogoń Nowe Skalmierzyce's players went 61 league matches without a defeat between 19 October 2014 and 29 October 2016, a run still logged as the longest unbeaten streak in Polish league football. It remains the number attached to the club whenever anyone in Kalisz county talks about its history.

That history has mostly played out in the lower tiers of the Polish pyramid, moving up and down between the third and fourth levels. A first-place finish in the Liga okręgowa Kalisz in 2016 sent Pogoń up a division; winning the Wielkopolska group of the IV liga in 2021 did the same. The 2025/26 season finds the club back in the IV liga after finishing 15th in the Betclic III liga, grupa II the previous campaign.

Home matches are played at the Stadion Miejsko-Gminny w Nowych Skalmierzycach, which holds around 2,000 spectators, 700 of them seated. The club plays in white and blue, and its supporters are known as the Pogoniści.

Pogoń Nowe Skalmierzyce was founded in November 1921 in the Wielkopolska town whose name it carries — the point every later promotion, relegation and unbeaten run has since been measured against.
