Renfrew

Renfrew's one national trophy came on penalties. In the 2000–01 Scottish Junior Cup final they beat Carnoustie Panmure from the spot. Two earlier final defeats, in 1916–17 and again in 1961–62.

League form has tended to arrive in bursts separated by decades: champions of the old Central League A Division in 1969–70, of Central Division One in 1991–92, and, more recently, of the Central First Division in 2015–16 and the West of Scotland Football League Second Division in 2022–23.

The club itself was formed in May 1912, after Renfrew Victoria, the town's previous junior side, folded two years earlier. Known ever since as Frew, it has played in blue and white. New Western Park, the current ground, holds 1,000 and opened in August 2015 with a 2–0 win over Johnstone Burgh, replacing the older home the earlier honours were won at.
