Richelle United

In June 2026 the senior club of Visé, URSL Visé, filed for bankruptcy. Richelle United, the amateur side from the neighbouring village that had been borrowing the town's stadium for eleven years, stepped into the gap: from 1 July it takes the town's name, becoming FCR Visé United, and absorbs the Visé BMFA youth academy.

The takeover settled something that had been unresolved since 2015, when Richelle's own pitch fell short of national league standards and home games moved to the Stade de la Cité de l'Oie in Visé, capacity 5,460. The club, founded in 2006, had by then already climbed fast through Liège's provincial divisions: a Fourth Provincial title in 2007, Third Provincial in 2008, Second Provincial in both 2011 and 2013, and promotion into National 4 for the 2014/15 season. Relegation followed, and it took until 2025, and a Third Division ACFF title, to get back to national football.

Local papers have long treated the fixture against CS Visé and URSL Visé as the derby, sharpened by the clubs sharing one ground; Sprimont, Aywaille and Herstal get the same billing when the draw pairs them. Dražen Brnčić, who played for Milan before Union SG and Standard, wore the shirt, and so did Vincent Lachambre, who arrived at Richelle in 2016 after spells at Club Brugge and Standard, and Axel Lawarée, formerly of Standard and the Belgian national team.

The stadium the club now inherits by name was never its own to build: 5,460 seats.
