Ringmahon Rangers did it between 1963–64 and 1970–71, taking the Munster Senior League's top division each season. Half a century later they found form again in the lower tiers, winning the Junior Second Division in 2023–24 and the Junior Premier Division in the two seasons that followed.
Local rivalries run through Mahon and Blackrock — Avondale United provide the derby, College Corinthians the more recent final-day defeat. The club marked its 75th year in 2026 and, around the same run of success, put out a first women's team in the Cork Women's Soccer Super League.
They have played throughout at Ringmahon Park, a ground that holds 500, in the club's black and red.
