The ground on Traian Bilțiu Dăncuș street holds 5,000. Stadionul Municipal Solovan was rebuilt in 2014.
Because a good deal happened. Football in the town goes back to 1936, and CIL Sighetu Marmației existed from 1968 until 1991. CIL finished fifth in the Second Division in 1975–76 and reached the quarter-finals of the Romanian Cup in 1984–85.
The current club was founded in 1996 as Marmația Sighetu Marmației, took the name CSM Sighetu Marmației in 2013, then folded in 2016 when the money ran out. It was refounded in 2019 under the same name. Its record includes seven Liga IV titles in Maramureș, the last two back-to-back in 2021 and 2022. Then, in 2023–24, CSM finished second in Liga III. In 2025–26 it is playing in Liga III, Series VIII.
