Sk Krumvir

A goalkeeper born in Krumvíř went on to play for Sparta Prague and the Czech national team. Milan Heča grew up in the village.

SK Krumvíř was founded in 1923 as part of the Sokol movement, the network of gymnastic and sporting societies that organised village life across Bohemia and Moravia for much of the twentieth century.

Home matches are played on a natural-grass pitch with floodlights on the edge of the village, holding 1,000 spectators.

Krumvíř has spent most of its history working through the lower rungs of South Moravian football, from the district leagues around Břeclav up to the regional I.A třída. In the 2023/2024 season the side finished seventh in the Přebor Jihomoravského kraje, the region's fifth-tier championship, and were promoted regardless. The following season they competed in Divize D, the fourth tier. Along the way, fixtures against South Moravian sides such as Moravský Krumlov and Tatran Rousínov have become familiar without hardening into any single rivalry.

No cup or championship silverware has come with the rise. For now, holding a place in Divize D is the task in hand.
