Snina

MFK Snina traces back to 1927, when the club started life as ŠK Snina. In the 1975/76 Slovak Cup, the club knocked out two sides from the Czechoslovak top flight — Jednota Trenčín in the fourth round, Chemlon Humenné in the quarter-final — before running into Inter Bratislava in the semi-final. On 14 December 1975, that run ended, 0-2. In the league, Snina held its own in the old Divízia through the 1970s and into the 1980s, finishing third three times and fourth once, in 1980/81.

Slovak independence changed the club's trajectory. Relegated from the third tier in 1995/96 after finishing 16th, Snina has stayed in the fourth division or lower since 1999, without a national title or cup to its name since.

What the club has kept producing is players. Ondrej Duda came up through Snina.
