Women's football at St. Pauli started and then stopped: a first team was put together in 1970 and did not last. What exists now grew back inside the same parent club, FC St. Pauli von 1910 e. V., founded in the Hamburg district that gives it its name on 15 May 1910, and it has never been given a founding date of its own.
The side has no single ground. Most weeks it plays on the FeldArena pitches laid out in front of the main stadium, or at the Adolf-Jäger-Kampfbahn; the big fixtures move into the Millerntor-Stadion, which has held 29,063 since the last stage of rebuilding was finished in 2013. The parent club's brown and white does not follow the women down — they play in black and white.
The trophy that recurs is the Lotto-Hamburg-Pokal, won in 2023, 2024 and 2026. Union Tornesch were beaten 6-1, SC Victoria 6-0, Walddörfer SV 3-0. The 2024 win carried the side into the DFB-Pokal Frauen for 2024/25, where it reached the second round and went out to Leipzig, 4-2.
Marlene Brüser is in charge. Rahel Rinast, who won 48 caps for Switzerland and scored three times, played at the 2015 World Cup and at the European Championships of 2017 and 2022 before coming to Hamburg.
