Ulvakers If Women

Skövde is a lake town in Västra Götaland, and the club that carries its name actually grew up just outside it: Ulvåkers IF is named for a village some 2.4 km to the north, though the ground, the badge and the office have long sat inside the town itself. The women's side is not a club in its own right but a department of that same one, founded on 5 April 1946, and it has never needed a founding date of its own.

Home matches are played at Åbrovallen, shared with the rest of the club and holding 1,500 — there is no separate ground for the women's team. The strip is red and black, matching a motto still attached to the name, "Röd/Svart, för alla – för alltid" (red and black, for everyone, forever), and the nickname Ulvarna, the Wolves, borrows straight from the Swedish word for wolf built into the club's own name.

The strongest spell came in the 1990s, in Division 2, then the third tier: fifth place in 1994, eighth in 1995, then bottom of the table and relegation in 1996. A return to that level in 1999 ended the same way. The side climbed back into Division 2 Norra Götaland in the 2010s, finishing twelfth in 2017 and fifth in 2018, before a 0–2 defeat to Vartofta SK sent them down to Division 3 in 2019. The one trophy on record is the Möbelcupen, won in 1991. A run in the 2024 Swedish Cup ended in the second round, beaten 0–9 by Husqvarna FF. The current squad, playing several tiers lower today, includes Rebecca Grennfalk and Isabelle Ekblom.

Matches against Våmbs IF carry the sharpest edge locally, billed as a derby whenever the two sides meet, alongside the closer rivalries with Skövde AIK and IFK Skövde. Home games are still played at Åbrovallen, inside the town the club has come to call its own.
