Zooveti
Club · Georgia · David Kipiani Cup
Zooveti's name traces back to Tbilisi's state veterinary academy, the institution whose students and staff put together the team that would carry the Zooveterinary banner into Georgian football from 1975.
The club reached the Umaglesi Liga, Georgia's top flight, in 1999 — its only season there. For most of the decades since, Zooveti has shuttled between the second and third tiers of the pyramid.
The one trophy in the record books came in 2010/11, when Zooveti won the Meore Liga, the third division, and earned automatic promotion to the Pirveli Liga. In the David Kipiani Cup the club has never advanced far: first-round exits followed in 2010/11 and 2011/12, and the best run came in 2015/16, when Zooveti reached the last 16.
Davit Chichveishvili, capped for Georgia, wore the club's colours between 1992 and 1995. Elguja Gugushvili took charge on the touchline in 2011.
Home matches are still played at Sportis Akademiis Stadioni, a ground that holds 1,000.
