1508 SaalfeldenArena

Nothing at the 1508 SaalfeldenArena predates 2018. The pitch sits on the site of the old Sportplatz Bürgerau, and when FC Pinzgau Saalfelden moved across into the new build, the club took a ground fit for the Regionalliga West rather than the amateur circuit it had outgrown.

The naming has moved twice. For its first four years the ground carried no sponsor at all, just SaalfeldenArena. That changed in May 2022, when 1508 Immobilien Consulting bought the rights, and from the 2022/23 season the arena has run under its current title, 1508 SaalfeldenArena – Place to see.

At 2,000 capacity, it is not built for volume, and Pinzgau's level of football rarely tests that ceiling. The exception was set years before the current stadium opened, when the old Bürgerau ground drew its record crowd for a visit from SV Seekirchen in October 2014 — a mark the new arena has inherited without matching.

What holds the ground together is that it works: artificial turf that takes the Pinzgau valley's weather without complaint, a lease with the town rather than a patchwork of ownership, and no reconstruction needed since the doors opened. For a Regionalliga side, that counts as stability.
