The 16 Mayıs Şehir Stadyumu Built with support from the Turkish Petroleum Corporation, it opened in 1984 specifically for the 1984–85 football season.

Batman Petrolspor played their final match against 12 Bingölspor here in April 2018 before moving to a larger venue. The stadium has a modest capacity of 4,900.

The stadium was closed for a period after May 2015, reopening later that year for training purposes.

There are conflicting reports about the stadium's current status. Some sources suggest it was demolished in 2019 to make way for a new park, while others indicate it remained operational.
