3Arena (Tele2 Arena)

Days before the doors opened in the summer of 2013, the ground had gone up under the working name Stockholmsarenan, then traded that for Tele2 Arena as its commercial title — a name it carried for more than a decade until the sponsorship changed again and it became 3Arena at the start of 2025.

Two Stockholm clubs have shared the pitch since the first match was played: Djurgårdens IF and Hammarby IF, both call it home. The surface is artificial by design, since the structure cannot carry a permanent natural pitch, but for major tournaments — the 2025 Women's European Championship among them — real turf has been laid over it for the duration.

The arena's history away from football is just as heavy. The Rolling Stones, Adele, Avicii and Swedish House Mafia have all played there, and Madonna's 2015 show still holds the record for a single night's attendance. The building has also carried major sporting occasions of its own, among them the final of the 2023 World Men's Handball Championship. For league football specifically, the record crowd dates to November 2018, when Hammarby met Häcken.
