The 45,000-square-metre plot Palmeiras took over in 1998 was, by the club's own account, derelict ground on the edge of Guarulhos. Academia de Futebol 2 opened there in 2002, and the name has stuck ever since — no rebrand, no sponsor tag added later.
Some databases list the capacity here at 43,713. That figure belongs to Allianz Parque, the club's stadium in São Paulo, not to this site — the single stand at the training ground seats 500.
Two of the five pitches, both FIFA-certified at 105 by 68 metres, were relaid recently with Tahoma 31 grass, the same variety chosen for the 2026 World Cup. A third pitch carries artificial turf, and a dirt field is kept aside for the Sub-10 to Sub-14 age groups.
No first-team match is played here. The ground belongs to Palmeiras' youth sides — Sub-20, Sub-17, Sub-15, the women's team — and to an academy taking children from four to seventeen. The results logged at the venue read like a season in miniature: a 5-1 win for the Sub-15s over Corinthians, a 1-1 draw for the Sub-20s against the Bolivian side Always Ready, an 0-8 defeat for the Sub-17s to Flamengo-SP.
