Adamstown Oval

Adamstown Oval has been Adamstown Rosebud's ground since the club was formed in July 1889, which makes it one of the longest continuously used football grounds in Australia.

The record crowd goes back to 7 October 1984, when Adamstown Rosebud met Wollongong City in the old National Soccer League and 2,990 people packed onto the ground.

The pitch itself remains natural turf, and the ground has stayed a working local venue rather than a showcase arena — no concerts, no finals of national competitions, just the rhythms of the Northern NSW State First Division, including its play-off rounds. In October 2024 the complex added a second pitch, Peter Stone Field, named for the former Socceroo who started out playing for the local club, though this sits alongside the main oval rather than replacing it.

Beyond that, the record thins out. There is no account of who built the original stands or when the ground was first laid out as a proper enclosure, separate from the club's founding. The Adamstown Rosebud website mentions changing-room refurbishments without dating them or describing what changed.
