Ady Endre utca Stadion
Budapest, Hungary
The Ady Endre utca ground in Budapest has seen more than a century of life. While the club traces its origins to 1909, the stadium itself is generally associated with 1912.
There are no floodlights to pierce the evening, and no running track to cordon off the turf. The playing surface remains natural grass, bordered by terraces made of a mix of concrete and wood. A wooden shelter runs along one side. The capacity is a matter of some debate; some sources suggest the terraces can hold 5,000 souls, while others, relying on stricter safety interpretations, put the number closer to 3,000. It does not matter much for a club that spends its Sundays in the NB III Dél-Keleti league.
The club is a fixture in the lower tiers, often competing in the Magyar Kupa cup football, where they face opponents from higher divisions. These matches bring a different energy, even if the away end never seems to reach full capacity.
