What sits at Zuiderweg 72A in Вийдехвормер is not really one pitch but a working estate: the training ground for every side АЗ Алкмар puts out — the first team, the women's team, and each of the youth age groups down the ladder.
The main pitch seats 200. The figure for the complex as a whole runs to 2,383 across the site.
The ground opened in September 2016 and was formally opened on 3 October 2016, with Луи ван Гал present. The design came from Leeuwenkamp Architecten, with HSB Bouw as main contractor — a roofed main building, floodlights, and terracing around the pitches that matter.
Before АЗ built here, the site was the sports park Кальверхук. The name change came with the function: from municipal playing fields to the club's academy address, twenty minutes from Алкмар and out among the polder farmland of the Ваард, which is why the pitches sit low, flat and open on every side.
