AGMK Stadium
The club here answers to a mining combine, and the ground carries the combine's name rather than the city's. When the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine built a new home for its team between 2011 and 2014, the old ground, Metallurg, wasn't torn down — the club turned to the kids, and youth sides took it over.
The new stadium opened on 16 March 2014, and the first match on the pitch settled nothing gently — Almalyk beat Metallurg 3-2. The name has not changed since: no rebrand, no sponsor swap, just AGMK Stadium, after the combine that pays for it.
The ground has carried weight beyond league fixtures. It hosted the 2014 Uzbekistan Cup final, where Lokomotiv edged Bunyodkor 1-0, and it has taken its share of AFC Champions League nights. The largest crowd on record turned out on 27 November 2023, when 10,171 watched a group-stage visit from Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad — a game Almalyk lost 0-2, and one remembered locally for an odd moment: an Al-Ittihad player went down into a hole in the surface ringing the pitch. Reconstruction work had wrapped up that same August, though capacity held at 12,000 once the ground reopened. National-team friendlies, mostly at youth and women's level, have passed through since without much fuss.
