Ajka's ground has stayed close to its original footprint since the war years, and the sense of a place built for a small town rather than reshaped for one runs through it still. The running track that once ringed the pitch is gone now, taken out along with the old perimeter fencing in a rebuild that followed the 2020/21 season — four months of work that pulled the barriers in tight to the touchline, put down fresh drainage and a new pitch, and hung two scoreboards where before there'd been none. The stands got new seats throughout and a repaint, and the press area and VIP section were done over as well. None of it changed the capacity, which sits at 5,000, or the shape of the ground itself — just tightened it, brought the crowd nearer the play than the athletics-era layout ever allowed.

There's no record of the place being rebuilt in the seven decades between opening and that renovation, which for a provincial Hungarian stadium is itself a kind of story — one ground, one name, few interruptions. FC Ajka plays its home matches here, on natural grass, at Sport utca 23.
