Ajman Stadium
The five thousand or so seats put it among the smallest venues in the top flight.
The formal name is Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium, and it has never carried another. In everyday use it goes by the city, which is also the club: Ajman Club was founded on 5 November 1974, the same year the ground opened. Nobody else has been recorded as a tenant.
The rebuilding work was driven by AFC requirements rather than by any wish to expand — the ground had to meet the confederation's standards to keep hosting matches at that level. An electronic screen went in, and the service areas behind the stands were reworked.
The playing surface is natural grass. Attendance records for the ground are not on file, so how full those two stands have ever been is something the archive does not say.
