Aker Stadion

Natural grass lasted from 1998 until 2013. In 2014 it came out for good and artificial turf went down, the winters having made the choice for them; in October 2017 that surface was replaced again, this time with a newer GreenFields MX system.

The ground was designed by Кьелль Косберг, an architect from Молде itself, and opened on 18 April 1998 as Molde Stadion — also known as Nye Molde Stadion, the new Molde stadium. The name it carries now arrived in May 2006, when the club took the title of Aker, the company owned by Кьелль Инге Рёкке.

On 26 September 1998, 13 308 people watched Molde FK play Rosenborg BK — the full capacity of the day, with terracing behind the short ends. A year later Molde reached the Champions League, UEFA required an all-seater, and the standing areas went. The capacity the ground has kept since is what was left.

Before all that, in the spring of 1998, Norway played a friendly here on the way to the World Cup and won 6–0, with Ole Gunnar Solskjær and Tore André Flo among the scorers. Cup finals have gone elsewhere.
