Al-Fayhaa Stadium

The stadium was built for the 5th Pan Arab Games in 1976 and has hosted matches ever since, including games for the 7th Pan Arab Games in 1992. It serves as the primary home for the Syria national football team and clubs such as Al-Jaish SC and Barada SC.

The complex includes an indoor arena that has hosted international basketball events, such as the 2023 FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament. The main stadium has a capacity of 12,000, though some sources suggest a different figure. A major renovation finished in 2020 converted the venue into an all-seater facility. That work replaced the old artificial turf with natural grass and upgraded the irrigation, drainage, and floodlighting systems.

The location is distinct from the Abbasiyyin Stadium, which is closed due to damage sustained during the Syrian Civil War. It is also separate from the Al-Majma'ah Sports City Stadium in Saudi Arabia, which is the home of Al-Fayha FC. The ground lies near the Barada River and Shari‘ Usāmah Bin al Munqidh street.
