Stadium
Alassane Ouattara Stadium (Stade Olympique d'Ebimpé)
Abidjan (Anyama commune, Ebimpé district), Ivory Coast
Formerly: Stade Olympique d'Ébimpé
Alassane Ouattara Stadium opened in October 2020, inaugurated by the president whose name it carries.
The design came from the Beijing Institute Architectural Design and the build from the Beijing Construction Engineering Group. The pitch is natural turf reinforced with the GrassMaster hybrid system.
That showed at the Africa Cup of Nations, whose 2023 finals were played here in early 2024 — group matches, the semi-final, the third-place match and the final all fell to Ébimpé. On 11 February 2024, Côte d'Ivoire beat Nigeria 2-1 in front of 57,094 spectators, the largest crowd the ground has held.
