That wasn't always so. The old grandstand belonged as much to Ammanford RFC as to the footballers, and it came down in 2004.
What replaced it took its time. got a stand of their own worth the name — 250 seats, with proper accessible provision built in rather than bolted on.
That timing matters, because the Rec's record crowd dates from the same window: 1,203 through the gate on 25 January 2020 for a Welsh Cup fourth-round tie against Caernarfon Town, a figure that beat the previous high of 800 set that same season against near-neighbours Cwmaman United.
