ASCO Arena (Baku); Ganja City Stadium

Ganja City Stadium stands on Atatürk Avenue as the sporting heart of Azerbaijan’s second city.

The original stadium held nearly 27,000 fans when it opened; the new capacity sits at 15,343. The all-time attendance record of 20,400 remains unbroken, set on February 14, 2016, during a match between Kapaz and Qarabag that ended 1–2. That crowd saw a different structure; this one was inaugurated by President Ilham Aliyev and built to UEFA Category 4 standards. It also hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 3rd CIS Games in September and October 2025, respectively.

The name ASCO Arena belongs to a different venue , Bayıl Arena, in Baku, and should not be confused with this ground. The stadium has no former sponsored name; it was historically known as Ganja Central City Stadium in Russian contexts.
