Asyut University Stadium

The **Asyut University Stadium** stands in the city of Asyut. It is not a ground built for spectacle; it is a working facility that serves the local community and the club that calls it home, Asyut Petroleum.

The playing surface is natural grass, a standard pitch that requires maintenance but offers a familiar feel for the players. The capacity is a subject of debate, with sources offering conflicting figures. Some claim 16,000 seats, while others insist on a lower number around 12,000.

**Asyut Petroleum** competes in the **Egyptian Second Division A**, a tier that demands resilience. The stadium has hosted cup ties where the pressure mounts, such as the semi-final run in the 2008–09 season against **Petrojet**. More recently, in October 2025, the ground saw a **2-2 draw** with Al Aluminium SC in the **Egypt Cup** round of 32.

It is not a venue for international qualifiers or major finals. Instead, it hosts youth trials for clubs like **Al Ahly Club**, where young players from the region test their skills.
