AXA Training Centre

It is not a place where supporters gather on a matchday, but a working environment where the squad spends its hours. The complex opened in November 2020 , a date marked by the club's official announcement. The facility replaced the long-standing Melwood ground, which the team had used for decades.

The grounds are extensive, covering fifty-six acres of land in Kirkby. The main pitches play a specific role: they are Desso Grassmaster surfaces, a hybrid mix of natural grass and artificial fibres.

There are three full-size pitches for the first team and academy. The facility also includes a hydrotherapy complex and a swimming pool, designed to manage player fitness.
