B.T. Connor Reserve

Reservoir is a Melbourne suburb, and its ground carries two names at once: the council lists it as B.T. Connor Reserve, while sponsorship signage calls it Genis Steel Stadium — a split identity common to grounds owned by local authorities and leased out for naming rights. The City of Darebin owns and runs the site, and Preston Lions FC call it home.

What sets Pitch 4 apart from a standard suburban pitch is the surface underfoot: an FIFA-certified synthetic carpet laid with an olive-pit organic infill rather than the usual rubber crumb, installed when the ground was converted from grass. It is a detail few local grounds in Victoria can claim.

The reserve has also had its moment on a bigger stage. On 16 July 2023, Jamaica beat Morocco 1–0 in a women's international friendly played here as part of the build-up to that year's Women's World Cup — an unusual booking for a suburban Melbourne pitch. The ground's own attendance record fell more recently, on 9 March 2025, when Preston Lions beat South Melbourne 2–0 in a National Premier League Victoria fixture watched by somewhere between 9,036 and 9,500 spectators, a crowd that dwarfs the venue's usual match-day numbers.
