Stadium
Backline Arena
Formerly: PGB Stadion, Chillax Arena
The ground sits in Oostakker , a submunicipality on the northern edge of Ghent, at Eikstraat 85A. It has had three names in sixteen years.
It opened in 2010 as the PGB Stadion , built for KRC Gent-Zeehaven when the club left the old Emanuel Hiel Stadion behind. The sponsor changed and the ground became the Chillax Arena . The pitch stayed natural grass throughout.
The current arrangement is the more interesting one. The ground is now home to Jong KAA Gent and KRC Gent Ladies .
The reconstruction work finished ahead of the official reopening on 23 August 2026 , when the ground took the name Backline Arena .
