Baoan Sports Centre Stadium
Shenzhen, China
The Baoan Sports Centre Stadium sits in the Bao'an District of Shenzhen. The site opened in 2011 as part of the preparations for the Summer Universiade, specifically set up to host women's football matches. GMP International drew up the plans for the arena, and the South China University of Technology Institute of Architectural Design worked on the construction drawings.
The Baoan ground has a capacity of 40,050 seats, a figure that has not changed since the doors first opened. The playing surface is natural grass, and it has hosted international fixtures, including a World Cup qualifier between China and Hong Kong in 2015.
The stadium has seen its share of local clubs move through its gates. Shenzhen Ledman F.C. Shenzhen F.C. and Shenzhen Juniors F.C. have called it home. The address is listed as No.
