Bazén Nový Jičín sits on Novosady 914/10 as a complex of water and basketball rather than a football pitch. The name itself — 'Bazén' — means swimming pool in Czech, an outdoor 50-metre pool alongside an indoor 25-metre hall with six lanes, children's pool and hot tubs. The basketball hall opens onto the same site, its 1,100-seat capacity intended for BK Nový Jičín, the local club that won the Czech Championship in 1998/99 and has kept its base here ever since.

The football stadium in Nový Jičín is a separate facility altogether, called Fotbalový stadion Nový Jičín, which hosts FK Nový Jičín in the Czech Fourth Division. Bazén does not hold football matches, nor has it been known by any other name.

What the place offers is straightforward: a pool, a hall, a small crowd. The only thing it shares with the town's football ground is its address in Nový Jičín.
