Berit Sitterstadion
St. Gallen, Switzerland
Formerly: AFG Arena, Kybunpark
The Berit Sitterstadion is located in the flat Rhine valley. The pitch is kept flat by a heating system that was installed when the ground opened in 2008.
The stadium was designed by Bruno Clerici and partners. The capacity is 20,660 for domestic matches, but the number drops to 17,317 for UEFA competitions because safety regulations require all-seater configurations. The official attendance record is 20,036 spectators, set during a Switzerland national team match against Scotland in the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying competition.
FC St. The venue hosted the Switzerland vs. Liechtenstein match on May 30, 2008, before the official opening ceremony, and the first competitive match for FC St. Gallen against Concordia Basel ended with a 2–0 win. It has also hosted international friendlies, including Switzerland vs. Brazil and Switzerland vs. Spain, while concerts by artists such as Andreas Gabalier have filled the stands in recent years. The stadium was a host venue for the UEFA Women's Euro 2025, where Germany beat Poland and England played an opponent. The address is Zürichcher Strasse 464, and the website is https://www.fcsg.ch/pages/beritklinik.
