Bogense Stadion (JK Byg og Montage Park)
Bogense, Denmark
Formerly: Bogense Stadion
The ground at Gyvelvænget is not large. The old name, Bogense Stadion, has been stripped away, replaced by the corporate branding of JK Byg og Montage Park. This change coincided with a significant overhaul completed in 2022 for Bogense G&IF.
It sits comfortably within its surroundings. The club that calls it home plays in the lower echelons of the Danish league system. There is no need to look far for context; the capacity is small, capped at roughly a thousand people, which keeps the experience intimate.
The surface is natural grass. The pitch sits centrally, flanked by stands. This is not a cathedral of sport, but a working ground. The renovation removed the decay of previous years, leaving a clean slate for the team.
While the town has other sporting traditions, this stadium belongs to the footballers who train here. The focus is entirely on the present.
The name on the gate belongs to a builder, but the game belongs to the club.
