Bøgeskov Idrætsanlæg

The pitch at Bøgeskov Idrætsanlæg was laid for two different games. The artificial turf carries both football and American football fields, and the ground in the Viby J district of Aarhus has taken both from the start — American football matches were being played on it within months of the opening.

It is municipal property. Aarhus Kommune built the facility over three years, with Henry Berthelsen A/S as contractor and Birgitte Henningsen as landscape architect. That is how Aarhus Football Club arrived: the club was founded in 2023 and the ground was assigned to it, rather than chosen by it.

The older tenant is Vatanspor , formed in 1989, long before there was anything at Engelundsvej to play on. Vatanspor does not treat the place as a single home — its fixtures are spread between here, Sødalskolen and Arena Vest. The Aarhus Tigers, an American football club, and the Aarhus Black Vipers also use the ground, and Stilling IF keeps a contact there.

None of this makes it a stadium in the sense that Ceres Park is one.
