Stadium
Bonifika Stadium
The pitch was laid out in 1948, and the municipality of Копер commissioned a nine-million-euro rebuild from the architecture practice Ateljé S d.o.o. The work was finished in time for the 2010/11 season, and on 17 November 2010 the Slovenia national side played there for the first time on the rebuilt ground.
Bonifika holds a number that reads oddly against the ground's own record, set on 22 March 1987, when 10,500 people came to watch Копер against Олимпия from Любляна. The scoreline from that afternoon has not survived in any accessible record; the attendance figure has.
The main pitch is natural grass. The artificial surfaces belong to the training pitches alongside it.
One more thing sets the place apart from the club that uses it.
