Bravida Arena

The ground sits on Hisingen, the island across the water from central Gothenburg, in Kvillestaden — and it stands where Rambergsvallen stood before it. That older pitch served from 1940 until 2013, then came down in 2014. What went up afterwards is a separate building, not a renovation, and the distinction matters to anyone counting the years.

It is small by top-flight standards. The record was set in 2016, when BK Häcken drew IFK Göteborg in the Allsvenskan and 6,380 people came through — a figure that sits above the listed capacity, and one the club has not passed since.

The pitch is artificial, laid to the standard 105 by 68 metres; it was named the best surface in the Damallsvenskan that year.

The name has moved. From 21 January 2015 the ground carried the sponsor title Bravida Arena , and it kept it to the end of 2025. From 1 January 2026 it has been Nordic Wellness Arena . In UEFA competition neither applied: sponsor names are stripped for those fixtures, and the ground was entered as Hisingen Arena — the island's name doing the work instead.
