Брискебюен ФЛ — founded in 1918 under the name Фрейдиг — wanted fields of its own, and work on the ground began on 26 April 1934. The money came from several directions at once: grants from the Norwegian football association, municipal funds, loans and charitable giving. The ground opened on 28 June 1936.

What separates it from the many other small Norwegian grounds of that generation is that it never stopped being rebuilt. A new stand holding 2,400 went up between 1984 and 1986. Then came the reconstruction completed in 2008, at a cost of 111 million kroner, which left the ground holding roughly 7,600. In 2023 the oldest stand was pulled down and replaced by one seating 2,049 — and the overall figure barely moved, settling at 8,068.

The playing surface is artificial, which in this part of Norway is less a stylistic choice than a scheduling one. It is the home of Хамаркамератене , better known as ХамКам .
